Hemis Mana key holder plaque by Orlan Honyumptewa

$ 0.00

This is a key holder plaque created by Orlan Honyumptewa.

This is 7 1/4" tall and 9 inches tall including the feather.

While not a "true" kachina, you will find these key holders in many Hopi homes.

Hemiskatsinmana is a maiden who accompanies the Hemiskatsinam during the Niman ceremony. The second part of the dance, they kneel with the snow maidens and perform with their rasp and gourd rainmakers.

Hemis Mana differs from a Katsinmana because the Hemis Mana has a beard of feathers.
